Moon and Moth - 11x14 Mixed Media Assemblage Canvas

Moon and Moth is evocative of lovers spending nights in summer fields under the stars, but carries an even deeper meaning of being drawn to the light to reflect His glory, as well as alluding to the strength of the moth to devour our enemies. This 11 inch x 14 inch mixed media canvas consists of an acrylic pour with layers of duct tape to give texture, cyanotype, collage, dried flowers, two real moths, some gold foil pen and watercolor work, metal trim and about 9 coats of resin to protect the delicate moths. This piece is sturdy and no animals(moths) were harmed in its creation.
